Title : Cebu companies to get free online stores: CVISNET

TWENTY Cebu-based companies from the garment, tourism and dried fruits sectors will be chosen this month to benefit from the SME.Net project, which enables small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to access the global market by having an online store.
The project is funded and implemented by Private Enterprise Accelerated Resource Linkages Phase (Pearl) 2 and Central Visayas Information Sharing Network (Cvisnet) with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) 7.

CLOSE to 20 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are taking part in the SME.net project, which will allow them to market their products to all Internet users. Five SMEs from the processed fruit sector, seven from garments, four from tourism and two from other unnamed sectors have already confirmed their participation, said Central Visayas Information Sharing Network (Cvisnet) manager Jem Gomez, during a consultative session last Thursday.
